Paint and plastic cups

All kids love to paint, it's messy and feels great between the fingers. Children can express themselves through colour and style, and no matter how they paint it's right, there is no right or wrong way, it's all about them.

Now I have a box filled with stamps for paint, you know the ones, flowers and animals. That gets boring doesn't it. So standing at the cupboard looking for inspiration I see a pile of plastic cups. Yep they will work nicely.

I showed the children how to put paint around the rim and make circles. I also added some cardboard tubes for smaller circles.

Because the cups are soft the children had to use soft hands.

No small circles, they roll.

Children love open ended craft projects, they can use their own imaginations to create what ever they want. Don't get me wrong purpose craft is good, to see a final product and compare it over a year to see their progress.

What great ideas!! I am definitely going to try this with my daughter. She is always trying to draw and paint circles (as well as other shapes) so I know she will love it. Thank you for sharing it at Sharing Saturday!!
